Plattenstrasse 26Zurich, 8032, Switzerland
The Hotel Plattenhof in Zurich, Switzerland, is situated 800 meters from the narrow cobble stone streets and historic buildings of Old Town. Many Zurich sites are several hundred meters away, including the Swiss National Museum and Fraumunster Church. The Hotel Plattenhof partnered with several agencies when creating its unique concept, including Ogilvy & Mather for branding, JBally und Partners for interior design and Bächi und Steiner for architecture.
The result is a hotel that creates a new hospitality niche that reaches a medium between anonymous corporate hotel chains and unaffordable luxury hotels, be they large or small. The Sento Bar & Lounge is something of a sleek neighborhood leisure destination with clientele ranging from two businesswomen chatting over Latte Macchiatos to a vacationing couple toasting glasses of Prosecco to a graduate student from the nearby University of Zurich looking over the daily papers laid out on the custom Italian designed tables.
