Situated in Edinburgh's West End, The Bonham is a boutique hotel offering uplifting contemporary ambiance within a classic Victorian townhouse. The Bonham is a short walk from the city's many excellent shops and boutiques, the financial district, Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town. Upon entry into The Bonham, guests are immediately surrounded by the hotel's distinctive presence.
The Victorian fireplace and grand, old staircase in the oak paneled lobby are now mixed with a black marble reception desk and a tasteful crimson spiral sofa. Showcasing a permanent contemporary art collection, The Bonham Hotel features the works of 30 local "up and coming" Scottish artists. The Bonham offers 48 rooms including some suites.
Each room was created by designer Janey Armstrong to be modern and dramatic, yet simple in design and generous in proportions. Rooms offer high ceilings, huge comfortable beds, an abundance of cushions and throws, and large bright and airy windows, many of which offer spectacular views across Edinburgh.
The hotel is home to the well known Restaurant at the Bonham, a stylish, oak paneled venue famed for its innovative European lunch and dinner menus, and varied wine list that includes several by the glass options. Under the direction of Head Chef Michel Bouyer, the restaurants features dishes made from seasonal organic produce.
A cooked to order Scottish breakfast and continental breakfast buffet are also served. The Bonham also features a private tree filled garden at the front of the hotel, a tasteful meeting room for up to 60 people, along with an adjoining library to enjoy evening drinks. Other hotel services include complimentary newspapers in lobby, limited room service and a multilingual staff.
